One Lincoln Recipes – Hearty & Easy Beef Stew

It’s that time of year when hearty comfort food is what we crave. Meat, potatoes, and root vegetables are all winter ingredient staples. “Low and slow” is a popular cooking method during the colder months allowing slowly cooked beef to become tender, vegetables to melt in your mouth, and delicious sauces to fully develop flavors. This month, our sous chef, Kelly, is sharing her recipe for savory and tasty beef stew.

Hearty & Easy Beef Stew


  • 1.5-2 pounds beef cubes
  • 7 Carrots, diced
  • 3 Potatoes, diced
  • 1 small White Onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 can Tomato Soup
  • Water, fill tomato soup can with water and add


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a dutch oven or similar oven-safe pot with lid.
  3. Bake for 3 hours or until meat is fork tender.
