Strawberry Challah Bread Pudding
Ingredients

- 14 ounce Challah Loaf
- Strawberry Sauce
- 1 pound Strawberries
- ½ cup Sugar
- ½ teaspoon Vanilla Bean Paste
- ½ tablespoon fresh Lemon Juice
- Vanilla Custard
- 1 cup Sugar
- 4 large Eggs
- 1 1/3 cup Whole Milk
- 1 1/3 cup Heavy Cream
- 1 Vanilla Bean, split lengthwise
Instructions

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
- Cut Challah into ½ inch cubes
- Butter 12 ½ x 8 inch baking pan
- Strawberry Sauce
- Combine all ingredients into a saucepan.
- Cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
- Vanilla Custard
- Whisk sugar & eggs together.
- Combine milk, cream, and vanilla bean into saucepan; bring to simmer.
- Slowly add heated mixture into the eggs and sugar, whisking continuously.
- Mix together bread and strawberry sauce and put into baking dish
- Pour custard over mixture.
- Bake for 50 minutes in a water bath. Once out of the oven, let cool in the water bath.
